Shongweni

14 people were injured this morning, after the taxi they were traveling

in went up an embankment and rolled. The accident took place at about
06h45 this morning, on the Shongweni Old Main Road, near the Castle.
When the paramedics arrived on the scene they found the Condor lying on
its roof and that all the passengers were lying on the road side.

Twelve patients suffered minor to moderate injuries. Two other patient
who were more serious, suffered fractures and severe lacerations. All
the patients were quickly stabilized on the scene and were transported
to near by hospital for further treatment.

It is unclear how the accident occurred but the passengers told the
driver to slow down before the corner, by this time the driver had lost
control and went up the embankment and rolled 3 times.
