Pedestrian dies in Witkoppen

A 46 year old woman have been killed in a serious car accident on the corners of Witkoppen and Douglas Roads when a silver BMW X5 apparently collided with her. It appears that the woman was crossing the road when the accident occurred.

When paramedics arrived on scene, we found the lifeless body of the woman lying in the fast lane of Witkoppen in the direction of Fourways. The woman sustained multiple fatal injuries. A paramedic from the Fourways Life Healthcare declared the woman dead on the scene. There was nothing paramedics could do to save the womans life.

It appears that she bought food at a shopping centre close-by, as fresh food in a polystyrene holder was lying a couple of metres from her. It is not clear if she was alone or where she was headed before the accident.
