Ambulance makes Gruesome Discovery
Two woman believed to be in their 30's and 40's were killed in what is believed a gruesome hit and run on the Mabopane highway.
An ER24 ambulance was on their way back from a emergency call-out in Akasia when they noticed people flagged them down at the Akasia turn-off robot on the Mabopane Highway at around 10h00.
When paramedics investigated they found two female bodies that was unrecognisable and severely deformed. It appeared that they have been driven over by a passing by vehicle. The one woman's one and arm was ripped off, the other's head was partially amputated.
According to bystanders on scene they have been hit by a taxi early this morning. Paramedics could not confirm the allegation and the police are questioning them regarding the information.
Paramedics declared them both dead on scene and police will investigate the incident. The police found a number plate on scene and might link it to the vehicle.
The two bodies were found next to the highway in the direction of DF Malan road.
At this stage it is unclear when exactly this incident took place, as the bodies appeared that they were completely bled out when paramedics arrived.
It is a gruesome sight and people flocked to the scene when they got word of the incident to try and identify the women.
Police have cordoned off the area and questioning people on scene.
