"The Bends" Again!

Yesterday at approximately 12h00 another accident occurred in the bends.

Three vehicles collided with each other after one vehicle traveling towards Commando Road allegedly lost control. A corolla apparently lost control and a Tazz, traveling in the opposite direction, tried to swerve and avoid a collision. The two vehicles collided and a third vehicle plowed into the corolla (Travelling towards the N1 highway)

A four year old boy, who was sitting in the back of the Tazz, sustained minor injuries and was transported by ER24 ambulance to Flora Clinic for further management. The boy's mother and grandmother was also treated on scene by paramedics.

Two other people, from the other vehicles, were treated on scene by paramedics. Fortunately no one was seriously injured in this collision.

The "bends" on Maraisburg have claimed numerous accidents.

The stretch on Maraisburg Road between the cemeteries constantly claims accidents, especially in wet weather.
